Company Off Day =) Part 2

Day 6 11^th Sept 2009

Life with no work again.

As most of us are facing this clothes crisis, the few of us decided to scout the area for laundry shops that have cheaper rate. Found three laundry shops near our area. In the end, we decided to go to the shop that has better service although the rate is more expensive. See? This is the importance of customer service. I think this country seriously lack it. Haiz. So the group of 12 of us handed over our laundry to the friendly lady. The checking for each clothe was very thorough and was all recorded in the receipt. In total, we spent about RMB 100 on the clothes.

Night time, we decided to explore our area and have our dinner outside instead of having it in the restaurant. Hahas… reason being why we didn’t want to stay in our restaurant and eat, I guess obviously you guys know the reason. Hehe. So we went through the alley, very dark and eery… first time I walk through it after watching it in TV shows.. hahas… normally those girls kana attack when they walk alone in the dark. So off we went to explore… saw a lot of dog meat restaurant… the guys were super keen to try that.. but there is a muslim in our group, so we have to be considerate also. In the end, we decided to try in a 水饺restaurant. It looks quite run down and the shop is rather small and cram. Actually we were all quite reluctant and wanted to leave, but the store owner already help to take out chairs and start taking down our order. We knew there is no turning back.. so we 将计就计。Ironically, we ordered a lot even though we don’t really trust the chef of this shop.

So out came the first dish, sheep meat with vegetables. To our surprise, it taste heavenly, at least much better than what we were having in our own restaurant for the past few days. Second dish was Japanese tou fu. Nice also! Fried fish, needless to say. Mixed brinjal, potato veggie was also very shiok! And yup, not forgetting the special dish of this dumpling shop, 水饺！hahas.. we ordered two types of dumplings.. one is the beef , another is the veggie. Wah, it is very pleasing for our stomach. And guess what, for all these dish for 12 people, it cost us only RMB 90 plus only! Then this nice guy, Eugene treated us for this dinner. 12 people for such nice dish and rice, it was super cheap and worth it.
